I was born and raised in a real estate family and have always been immersed in the real estate field. I spent my career developing creative solutions for the complicated problems that arise in real estate and successions matters. Above all, I really enjoy working with clients and handling the delicate legal issues that are incredibly important to the families I represent. My background and experience in real estate, successions, wills, and estate planning, partitions, and property litigation are learning experiences that I believe help bring value and results to our clients.
Before joining Scott Vicknair, I owned and operated a successful real estate closing company and law firm for many years. In that role as a business owner and operator, I further developed my skills in successions and real estate. Working in the title industry provided me with a lot of opportunities to encounter unusual and wide-ranging legal issues that arise in real estate and succession-related matters. I believe this experience provides me a unique vantage point in how I approach succession matters, always seeing long-term potential issues, and arms me with the ability to protect my clients from unforeseen issues that could otherwise arise in the future. I graduated Summa Cum Laude, Phi Beta Kappa from Tulane University with a Bachelor of Arts degree.
At Tulane, I was the recipient of the esteemed Louisiana Legislative Scholarship and was continuously on the Dean’s List. I then earned my Juris Doctor from Tulane University Law School where I studied real estate transactions, business transactions, estate planning, and successions. During law school, I excelled in moot court competitions and was placed as a top oralist in the region. I was also awarded one of Tulane’s best overall Alternative Dispute Resolution competitors and served as a Coach to Tulane’s nationally recognized Appellate Moot Court Team.
I had the great opportunity to work for a federal judge in the Eastern District of Louisiana, which was an experience that was invaluable to my legal education and training. I also have an accounting background, which I believe adds to my skill set I am able to offer to our estate and succession clientele. I briefly lived in Ukraine as a child, but New Orleans is where I was born and raised. I am now happy to reside in Mandeville with my husband, Anton, and vivacious three daughters, Ivanna, Valentina, and Angelica.
